The mathematically and IQ challenged do not realise how easy it is to change the average temperature up or down as one likes.
Simply close down your cold stations reducing their numbers ( BOM closed down the Aussie mainland's coldest station but not before fiddling its data upwards ) and increase your hot area stations and all of a sudden, the average is higher; without any change in the actual temperature whatsoever.
Homogenise the data further and presto bed wetting headlines manufactured.
