The consequences of the failure of the FED to stop Lehmans from collapsing .... "the Lehman Moment", was sooo much beyond what was expected, some commentators have said, the FED will never allow to fail, another major institution that's "too big to fail". This means the FED will handle the bankruptcy of pension funds etc and use whatever QE necessary to stop the ship of state sinking, leaving only small stake holders holding debased currency (their much reduced entitlements). Major powerful debt holders will get almost 100c in the dollar, and every other stakeholder gets shafted.
Debts owed to your fellow countryman are not seen as a problem - Japan's CB buys all Japanese Government bonds .... why not the FED ??
