As a rounded business person, (yes I was originally a reporter)
do get that cutting costs is a key.

Governance is costing us too much
the dead hand of paper shuffling.

Hospitals are full of people sitting at desks
but short of nurses doing triage, blood and pain.

Our own shire has $2000 rates; $3000 for Cairns Regional
for weekly rubbish and fortnightly recycle.
(if there is any other service for the cash, please tell me)

In Victoria Mornington Peninsula Shire has gone from 100 to 700 staff in a few years.
Same area, fewer services.
