Hello. Having a brief look for the first time, my impression is the protest was against the Weapons Industry. Many people believe the Weapons Industry is
not ethical. For example, Australia allowed an Israeli company to operate here, called Elbit Systems, which is often a subject in the Anti-Genocide movement. By doing so, the impression is Australia has tied itself into the International Weapons Industry, whose products are used in war & killing.
Australia itself is in a contradiction, where new elements in Australia appear to be taking over the old elements. Remember, under Australian law, Israel remains an Occupying Power. While the protests appear not explicitly related to Gaza, it appears the recent elements of individuals who comprise of the Australian government are in contradiction.
