At the beginning of 2009, the sp of Amazon was USD$3
beginning of 2010 it was $USD6.73
You can see the sp was rising as the net profit was. Look at the dip in the sp that coincided with losses in 2022.
Amazon and GYG are totally different. GYG is soley a mexican fast food restraunt. Amazon is diversified and caters to most of the world.
So in actual fact, Amazon's share price was rising and falling relative to profit for the most part.
There were periods where the sp was going up whilst the company was at a loss but investors are forward looking and Amazon had huge growth projections.
GYG, may increase growth wise but you cannot compare the two.
Appreciate you discussing stocks instead of people today, makes for a better thread.
