I think the simple fact of the matter is that the people that have the equivalent of native title to these farms dont have any involvement in these projects which, even imho is wrong!
Imo Genorah MUST give Bengwen...(?) a BEE interest/royalty or such, in these farms via some form of direct compenstation/holding.
Why waste time on legal semantics.Get it sorted so this thing can move ahead.
A big question I have is why havent they done so earlier?
Perhaps my logic is flawed OR Genorah are simply greedy.Theres HUGE cash to go around here and it wont hurt that the locals DO get a reasonable proportion.I thoght thats what this BEE system was all about.
Im still of the opinion that Xstrata also see these projects as ONE ENTITY and its why they havnt moved yet.They need to know whats going on and just what cut the locals might be given.
In other words Stagman imo your views are very much on the mark and your guarded attitude on these legal issues has also been proven correct.
Lets hope the coming NKP annmnt sorts this out to SOME degree and its not the tip of the iceberg.
