Bluntly put it is the male perspective to boundary set with consequences like the cane and feminist thinking to state no cane allowed. The bad kids laugh as they know only talks will be given as a consequence and keep offending. Result people's homes repeatedly broken into by the same kids as they know a talking to is all they will get.

Back in the 1970's men started leaving the teaching profession and this accelerated from that point. I think a few teachers sexual abuse cases made male teachers be regarded as likely sex offenders. Today we see hundreds of female teachers being the sex offenders BUT no society wide disrespect on female teachers those male teachers copped back then.
Today we have plenty of child suicides because bullies are not properly dealt with by 'talks' and no consequences they fear.
No consequences, or insufficient consequences, have consequences including child suicide.
