But all that being said could they not have said it a lot earlier instead of dragging their feet so long.
The main issue don't the States look after the environmental laws. Like EPA (VIC) and Melbwater in Victoria. If the State does not complain why does the Feds do?
Only reason I see is they had no 'IN' and their only way to stop it was related to the Aboriginal scapegoats they have nominated.
I legal action was the best course of action. Sue the FEDs for this delay and objection. Get some compensation and put the mine in the coffin.
