The chairman of NAM has forecasted net profit after tax for the year ending February 2006 would be between $10 to $15 million. It was around the same time that the Australian crop was forecasted for 2005 around 2.2 million bales. In the meantime this has been revised to around 2.4 million bales.
If cotton prices continue to rise then the the figure could come in at the high end of the range. The current div yield is around 9%.
