Scitty, The very localised warming in and around our big cities has nothing to do with and zero effect on global weather patterns. That is a fact. Of course all the lights, car engines, radiators and black tarmac have an effect of raising the temperatures in cities but that is not Global Warming is it. Drive 1 km outside the city and temps have gone back to background.
The problem is, is that most of the temperature stations are located now in cities whereas 100 years ago they were in the country. Hence the spurious results.
Measurements of the troposphere (area above clouds) have shown no warming on a global scale and that is where it would apear if the globe was warming.
