and "climate fanatics" on both sides tend to ignore the real problem and focus on extremes as is their wont.

the real issue is not overtly obvious. that slowly, year on year, the climate here in Aus is changing as demonstrated by the physics of the carbon cycle.

the fact that carbon has such a profound effect on climate was demonstrated as recently as 1880s. although carbon proportion of the atmosphere is measure in ppm demonstrates the effectiveness of carbon as the primary controlling agent in temperature terms. the correlation is found whenever theres been a dramatic shift in temperature shifts, along with several other factors such as sun cycles and earth orbit changes, eg the mass species extinction due to an asteroid impact which shifted the orbit of the planet.

we have no control over China. they will do as they will. we can only control our own contribution to CC by reducing our own emissions and advocate in the UN and the International fora.

so we should demonstrate our own realisation of CC and GHG emissions by reducing our emissions. to do otherwise is to be as negligent as China.
