If RIO are serious about lithium in Argentina, and don't bid for LTM, they are simply stupid. There's no other way around it.
At LTM's current market valuation and their extensive development portfolio (both in Argentina, which is where RIO chose to establish their lithium production footprint with the Rincon acquisition), and also hard rock which is Rio Tinto's DNA, it just makes too much sense.
I've been equally buying LTM around these levels for both long-term value and M&A speculation.
