it's nonsense to think that all monies would be directed to 'soccer' alone over a period of years - aussie rules doesn't bring in extra tourism nor do they provide any infrastructure for anyone but themselves - in fact, they also borrow infrastructure they've had no hand in directly funding

the other codes would always welcome updated/new infrastructure
the other codes won't be run over by 'soccer' as aussies generally prefer their contact sports, but i'd like to think that this sporting nation at some point in time has a shot at winning the only code that is truly on the world stage
