Wah Nam appear to have gone very quiet indeed with little prospect of a counter offer and certainly even less propsect of the $1 billion in cash they need to make a real one.
In the last two weeks we have watched BRM's SP fall continuously on the back of a takeover information vacuum and RIO's pointed jibes about the value of BRM's deposit.
Will the Chinese be back? or is WR lining up investors as quickly as he can before he is raising at $4 instead of $5 with $6 a distant memory?
