This narrative of ATL having made the appropriate queries and having satisfactory answers was wearing thin but at this point is just silly to still be pushing.

I think surely we can all agree at this point that ATL made a mistake, or took a risk that went badly, and whatever information they had lead them to be more confident than they should have been. They paid multiples of the current price just months ago, for a project just before it went into C&M. AGY management obviously didn't just decide on the spur of the moment to take this drastic action. They obviously knew it was coming some time in advance, it's logistically a huge move, not the least of which was firing over 100 employees. You don't make that sort of decision quickly or lightly. They almost certainly knew it was probably going to happen at the time the ATL deal was signed, and we all know that AGY management at least knew it was a significant possibility (if not, they would be unimaginably incompetent).

There is no reasonable way to deny that ATL was burned, and the notion that their decision to invest in AGY should inspire confidence in shareholders is insane. In reality, it is very clear that the ATL deal raised many red flags which shareholders should consider with great care. If ATL had all this extra information and still got that badly burned, and AGY management was willing to do that to the likes of them, what level of regard do you think AGY has for you? What hope do you have of knowing what's going on if ATL with whatever access to privileged information they have under non disclosure agreements was burned as they were, rapidly losing most of their investment. Surely no one still thinks ATL is happy with what they did.
