I did not ask to do IQ tests and I did not award the scholarships to myself - would be nice though! Can't see you doing well on this point.
The one thing a Uni degree should give you is the ability to learn from scratch any subject you desire. A library card is all you need indeed as per the film once you have that skill albeit lots of stuff behind paywalls these days. I am not insecure so if you like I am lacking in that area. Lots of arty things I have not bothered with, and I can't draw to save my life. On the other hand, I know the importance of Dr Franz Mesmer's 1800's magnetism work to current Psychiatry which few people do. Most know of the term mesmerise though. I can also tell you that Bunn is the typical sycophant crawler referred to in Ayn Rand's novels/philosophy, so I do dip into some parts of the art world that are useful rather than fluff.
I am no Brad Pitt type yet have had far more than my fair share of 10's for want of a better 'word' so I am doing something right not based on looks. Maybe its competence and fitness and interesting challenging fun conversation they don't get elsewhere mostly.
I would say to you @Parsifal that I have lots of empathy for the human condition BUT I don't let that fall into making excuses for those not doing what is required in life. Indeed, there is no tomorrow. Not everyone succeeds and there are clear reasons for that.
