Hi Shaziski .. Happy new year and all that !! I wish you well with your GTP shares . There are a couple of factors which are really going to drive gtp , the first and most important is the return ( yield ) to growers , this works two-fold showing the grower a return and showing the timber investment to be legitimate and on going . The advantages here fot GTP is the landholding , the fact the land is owned , and the location of the land relevant to shipping , plus the rainfall with the area , ownership of land is vital in this industry as It gives the company greater control of the product .

The initial yeild from the 1994 plantings will probably be " acceptable " , however with changes in technology the grower would probably expect an improved yield due to woodchip content in the years of planting 1998 and beyond .Working from an historic base worldwide if the first plantings gave a yield of 6% compounding this could grow to 8% or even 12% in the coming years .Now you can well imagine if you had a nice parcel of GTP tucked in the top draw just what you may expect over the longterm.Lets also not forget the great run by GNS over the past few years , well GTP has the potential to do far better !!

The company has a retention rate of around 60% that this clients that invest year in , year out .Add to this the vineyard projects and the potential for further diversification in the agri business makes the upside particularly positive longterm .

In the years to come you might just find no-one can grow a tree like a great-southern tree , the woodchip content will be relevant to yeild to growers which from there will flow into the share price , toss in a few other posibilities such as carbon credits , the companies ownership of the coppice (stump) if not taken up by the grower ( 7 year turnaround on coppice rather than 10 years ) ..and you have a solid fundamental reasoning for continued success .

As to when do I see the stock hitting six dollars ...how long is a piece of string !! But could well be sooner than we all expect !!

And yes the lunch/dinner was great and the wine sat rather nicely also !!

Good trading and the best of luck to all !
