Great discussion, everyone, and great post you just wrote, Hammerhead.

Re SFR, today's price is $7.50- cheaper than the $8 it was, thanks to their capital raising. I find it interesting when it is said that it is somehow too late to buy SFR, if OZL wished to. The thing is, as others have said, SFR was worth what it was worth when the share price was half of what it is now- it was more of a risk then to buy than it is now. That risk has lessened, and the price has doubled- go figure- that's what happens. OZL also doubled their money by investing then, so we have more money to pay for SFR- the investment has, so to speak, paid for itself. It's really turned out perfectly for OZL.

I wouldn't mind OZL putting out some more ANN's, personally. I've said this before, so sorry to be repetitive. :) I am sure OZL is constantly working away- not just trying to extend mine life, but doing day to day things as part of their business. More market updates would keep them more "in touch". Having said that, they recently did a talk to shareholders, and that's super. We will be getting some kind of "reward" as per their last update re capital management. Day to day stuff though- i'd read that with gusto.

HT1 said we may get some kind of pullback, (and brokers found us pretty well fully valued at $1.80). We did pull back- some 10%. The markets have also, until recently, been pretty shoddy and in the red. We *do* align with the markets- very much so. Today, though, we ended up 1.8% up, even though the markets weren't so hot in general. I'm pleased with that. I think the market still favours OZL as a reliable share. One can see that on a day like today. It's great to chuck ideas around though- the OZL threads are consistently good with that.
