Think hard for a second, it’s not the reporting of the viability price that immediately suggests its accuracy, it’s the lack of a company response. When totally inaccurate information is reported, many companies will release clarification statements to dispel these accuracies.
The fact that JZ has held his tongue suggests that the reporting probably isn’t far off the mark.
Either that or JZ is incompetent because he’s not doing his job by hosing down this type of reporting and presenting some actual OPEX figures, like Arcadium did in their investor presentation.
Or of course it’s possible that JZ isn’t even aware of it, which again would suggest he isn’t doing his job by keeping abreast of such information being reported by someone in or close to the company (loose lips sink ships).
Your choice: incompetent and secretive, uninformed and oblivious, or maybe it really just is a ridiculously high OPEX operation?
