Well sort of ... the gas must be used to covert all of Sydney's seven coal fired stations to gas ..... that in itself is at least ten years away !

Also the hole left in the ground is mooted as a future CO2 storage .

I agree the Gov't will issue approval but it is possible there will conditions to fill . The time line is getting to the pointy end . The rig will not go north without approval and it is due to move in 5 days ! So it is literally Sydney or the bush right now .
