I got a call from Wilson Asset Management this morning, my second call in the last couple of months. I don’t begrudge Geoff, and I feel blessed that there is such a vehicle as the share market. I grew up dirt poor and had little education, the share market and the ability to profit from buying cheap assets has changed my life. It has taken me twenty years to completely turn my life around financially ,to the point that I will retire as a self funded retiree. Buying undervalued LICs has been at the cornerstone of my success but I hear you loud and clear. I no longer need to risk liquidity or persistent discounts to try and shoot the lights out, knowing that you can sell out at any time at NAV is a big plus with ETFs.
