Just because Tanya Plibersek has approved an extension to three mines' lifespans, one of which is WHC's, don't get the idea that Labor (and the Greens!) are pro-coal.
Labor has many MPs who daily want to see an 'end to fossil fuel mining and generation' even though coal exports (and royalties plus other taxes) are a huge factor propping up spendthrift Labor governments' budgets.
