Makes perfect sense Nuclear as all the infrastructure grid is already in place to move the power around the country, just hook it up to existing power lines. Where as the big build for renewables has a big price tag for all the required new infrastructure, and quite frankly, most rural people don't want those giant windmill eyesores and problematic issues in their back yards either, not to mention offshore ruining the coastal landscape.
