"Out of the ones I have tried over the years Viagra is the worst for side effects, beetroot head and headache and the most expensive, but they were the first so good on them.
So if Spontan is going to hit the market at over AU$100 that's a very high price for only 16-18 doses "

In the US, Viagra still sells for around US$90 per pill and enough people are still buying that despite the generics pricing. It is much cheaper in Australia because it is subsidised but Pfizer still receives the full price and in any case, it's the US market that matters for size.
"Viagra costs an average of about $91 per pill, while the cost for generic pill *word disallowed by google can start at about $4 a pill, according to online retailers."

You were asking why would anyone buy Spontan at $10-12 per dose if they can buy generics that do the same job cheaper? The same question would apply to Viagra. Why pay $90 for Viagra in the US when you can buy Spontan for $12 that can do the same job? More importantly, why buy Viagra or any other tablet when you have to fast for it to be effective when you can take Spontan on a full stomach with no reduction in efficacy? Or why buy Viagra or a generic that takes up to an hour - or more - to work when Spontan works in 10 minutes? Or why buy Viagra or generics that go through the stomach and liver and therefore need higher drug dosage and create more side effects?

Despite its side effects and disadvantages Viagra still works and has sales at around US$500mill per year. They fell a long way with generics entering the market but it has stabilised somewhat around that $500mill mark over the three years 2020-2022 in the chart below. That's A$735mill. I'm not suggesting LTP gets that many sales per year but why shouldn't it?
If it gets sales of US$200mill per year, that would be just over 4.4% of the total $4.5bill market across all ED drugs. That's not a big ask and is a much smaller share than the much more expensive Viagra with all of Spontan's advantages. US$200mill is A$294mill. At say ten times revenue, that is around a $3bill valuation for LTP. That is a lot of upside at a 4.4% market penetration. Pardon the pun.
There is clearly some risk until it gets the FDA approval but that risk is lower than it is for a new drug. This is just a new delivery method for an already approved drug that has been in the market for years.
