Well in the end it is a matter of business integrity - if BCC's own updates were originally communicating a very different set of dates for the arbitration process, then it is only courteous for them to update the market regarding the delays. Instead what the shareholders get is a 'radio silence' combined with growth vacuum and an arbitration costs blowout (without any indicated end in sight for the cost escalation).
What shareholders should not forget is: results of arbitration (regardless of the outcome) will require a new set of lawyers and more sunk costs to formalise the agreements, to exercise deals/transfers/equity release/debt arrangements.
As said before this process is going to end up $6-10M to BCC not including opportunity loss and growth stalling that was caused by this process.
Pedrino the problem is that the new Garmin device is from an entirely different generation of sat devices - ones that can share photos, videos and rich multimedia files, massive walls of texts as single messages etc, none of this Zoleo cannot do. If I was in the market for a Sat Device and it was a matter of spending $200 vs $500 but be able to have those additional features I'd know where I would put my money.
I do agree that Zoleo as a partner to Iridium may end up with a similar product of their own soon (hopefully) but I am not sure if those plans were derailed due to arbitration, BCC were meant to have x2 new devices to be previewed by the end of 2024 (in the original timeline that was in the investor pack).
