I scratch my head over all this ACCC, LNP and ABC beat ups of Coles and Woolies. For god sake a few years back they were under fire for not paying the fruit and vegie growers enough, the dairy farmers not enough, the beef farmers not enough, the sheep farmers not enough or any other supplier not enough. Now they are paying them all a lot more then they are under fire for higher prices on the shelf contributing to the blow out of the cost of living. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. For god sake give them a break, we need strong reliable super markets and strong reliable banks. The bloody politicians need to have a bloody good look at all the dopey decisions they have made that have forced the cost of living to record highs. They cry out for cheap land and housing yet local, state and federal governments keep imposing more and more onerous conditions on property developers and builders resulting in escalation of prices. Politicians of all parties in this country have far and above contributed to the blow out in the cost of living, way way more than any of our super markets. ACCC just making senseless noises whilst pissing into the wind.
