Phantom, i am not a political person. I reckon i am just a practical person. Politicians of all sides seem hell bent on destroying our major supermarkets in order to demonstrate that they intend looking after the less fortunate who are suffering from the increased cost of living. When we were young and starting in the workplace as apprentices our wages were not enough to survive on. No government or do gooders to lean on or be counselled by. What did we do? We went out and looked for and secured weekend work. We could earn as much in those 2 days working for ourselves as we were getting for a 5 day 40 hour working week, hence we survived. 3 years of doing that taught us the basics of running your own business. Many of us when we finished our apprenticeships quickly started our own businesses. Don't tell me that you can't do the same thing today. I travel a lot around this country and their are jobs galore, there for the taking but our modern day youth are either too well off or just bone lazy and dopey. At Ayres Rock again a few weeks back and the Fijian FIFO's are there bigtime. Go to Broome, the same thing. Every where you go the real jobs are being carried out by overseas backpacker working visa holders or Indians and Asians. Why because their work ethic far exceeds the young to middle age Aussie who have become compulsive grizzling drones.
