I am thinking Moblan is too remote for downstream processing.
You just have to look at where all of the exChina refineries are being built to know that they must be located in or near industrial hubs that provide all of the necessary infrastructure.
As an example, Nemaska has it’s Whabouchi Mine in the James Bay Area of Quebec and are building their lithium hydroxide plant in Becancour in an industrial estate, on the St Lawrence Seaway.
The Kemerton and Kwinana plants in Western Australia are likewise, located in industrial estates.
PLS and POSCO are in partnership in a lithium hydroxide refinery in Gwangyang, South Korea, one of the most industrialised locations on the planet.
If Sayona was to have downstream processing, it could possibly be done close to NAL as it is in an industrial hub where other big miners have similar projects.
