Yes inflation will have a big impact if it continues at historical rates.
However the diesel usage/labour savings need to be offset by the increased ownership costs of the EV equipment (depreciation, maintenance, utilization rates, availability rates, finance costs, productivity rates, transition costs and equipment life
All the posts I've read only talk about the possible and unproven benefits without any financial consideration of additional costs to make it happen.
