In light of eToro’s recent takeover announcement of Spaceship for $80m, it is a natural conclusion that RZI may one day soon face a similar fate, particularly in a falling interest rate environment. IMHO Raiz’ diminished market cap (less than $50m), large and financially aspirational customer base, strong and trusted brand presence in the Australian market, and it’s superannuation offering make it an ideal takeover target for a wide range of financial businesses both large and small. It’s micro investing app and extensive customer base could easily be of interest to businesses as diverse as banks, brokerage firms, ETF companies and wealth management groups.
