I (DT) am not sure why anyone would be concerned about patients in the trial getting treatment for free. I don't think I have ever seen a trial where patients have to pay to be in a rial other than the young blood trial being run in old Silicon Valley billionaires to try to slow ageing. This trial is exceptionally controversial, not because of the infusion of blood from young donors, but because the old recipients had to pay.
