MS, that is the accusation. Do you have any evidence to support that?
Talking about mining lepidolite - not lepodite - there is in fact a strong circumstantial evidence that indicates that the Chinese government didn't care whether the price of Li go up or down. Recently we heard the news that CATL stopped mining lepidolite because it was not profitable.
Now, if it is true that the Chinese government ever wants to drive the price of Li down using lepidolite to fill the demand of Li, logically they would have prevented CATL from stopping to mine the lepidolite by subsidizing the cost of production or by other means. But they did let CATL stop mining the lepidolite!
And the price of Li stocks jumped!
