Just doesnt make sense to not extend FAR leases. Ophir/Partners commitment to drill Kora has satisfied the obligations of their lease contract within Senegal/Guinea Bissau Common Zone. Therefore the Minisrty is aware of Ophir, FAR commitment in joining Ophir with Kora and vice versa Ophir option joining FAR leases. Consequently , Ophir naturally pushing this as FAR is. Therefore, its going to take one mighty aggressive oiler to push FAR/Ophir side wards.
FAR latest CR adds credit to its ambitions next year also.
One twist, is the ministry wants a commitment to drill and has allowed FAR time to wrap this up. Could have been an informal request. Its common knowledge that Senegal having power cuts/problems and needs to upgrade their power supply. The Government needs to collect income and would be aggressive in forcing active drilling campaigns. One reason why the president has appointed his son to solve this affair.
