Karlene,
You have to recognise the predicament that a lot of Mum and Dad, CuDeco(CDU) share-holders, must be in at the present time, after the horrendous trading result on CDU on the 18th August, 2010.
I can only speak for myself, I committed 1/3 of my stock on my ComSec Margin Loan. I finished up on the 18th August,2010, losing 2/3 of my CDU stock.
In effect, I lost my entire investment outlay. This accounted for minus 11000 CDU shares. Out of my original holding of 16480 CDU I currently hold 5850 CDU. I have managed to accumulate an extra 450 CDU in the past 3 months.
Unfortunately, I have no spare cash to invest in another stock at this juncture. Really, all the stock I want to buy is CDU. It is A-1, as far as I am concerned, and I am prepared to hold Long-Term for the dividends.
I was not a Trader. I had no intention of selling any of my CDU shares . Normal market up and down variations are always with us. A bad day might result in a slight
reshuffle of my CDU stock, definitely not the melt-down that happened.
But, the catastrophe, that occurred on the 18th August, 2010, to CDU stock, was anything but normal; in my opinion, it was an "over-kill". I didn't deserve to lose 2/3 of my CDU holding - 11000 CDU shares. In fact, I consider it was "day-light robbery".
I want an honest and thorough investigation by the establishment of a Government Enquiry, to shed some light onto the matter. Fair play is paramount as far as I am concerned.
All the best Penny, and don't worry about me, Supreme Court actions are not new to me.
cheers
Max
