Ongoing Exploration and Next Steps
With that drill program complete, we anticipate a steady flow of news regarding assays, metallurgy, resources, and studies, with a goal of commencing production next year. We remain excited about potential additional gold discoveries around the Star of Mangaroon, as well as at other emerging camp-scale targets like Bordah and High Range. We expect a lot of target generation and definition work in these areas over the coming months.
Alongside the gold, we’re also advancing the niobium at the Gifford Creek Carbonatite Complex. The drill results from Stinger continue to improve, and we look forward to releasing the next batch of assays and planning the next drill program, which should give us a better sense of the potential size of the prize. If gold and niobium weren’t enough, the emerging Tiger Cu-Zn-Ag results are showing us additional potential at Mangaroon that hadn’t been explored before. We’re eager to see how Tiger and the wider Cu-Zn-Ag mineralisation system continues to evolve. Discovering new mineralization systems is one of the best ways to make big, new discoveries, and this region's new system is opening up a vast search space.
Finally, I know I may sound like a broken record, but our deal-making efforts continue in the background. We had a major lithium deal involving Central Yilgarn fall through at the 11th hour, which was tough news after seven months of work for both sides. However, this has opened up opportunities to negotiate on parts of Central Yilgarn that we wouldn’t have been able to if the deal had gone through. With many companies currently seeking new assets, we’ve seen fresh interest in Central Yilgarn, so perhaps this story will have a silver lining. We remain optimistic about completing some deals before the end of the year.
