the mine sale you are talking about would be GPK. it has been rumoured that when KRL said they were thinking of selling it they got quite a few interested parties.
The value rumour ranged from 25m to 35m from memory.
That is the last we really know about the rumoured sale of GPK.
The mine has coal but has not been producing. (mothballed)
others on here can explain why.
I personally Think GPK has been started back up again
The company has issues at time with communication.
The next thing we read is the last announcement (Managing directors presentation 30th november 2010) that says that GPK and Tanur Jaya coal resources will be providing the company serious tonneages of coal sales going forward
3mtpa for each mine. Can't imagine they would go to the trouble of charting future sales from GPK if they are going to sell it. IMO DYOR
So my guess from the latest announcement is that it won't be the sale of GPK..
It could be an offtake agreement for supply from GPK (sales contract)- (maybe PLN- Indonesian utility supplier)
Also as others have said the barges shipping coal up the river (Mamahak) have probably completed an intial contract and KRL have been paid, this would provide nice(working capital). specially since they now own it 100%
IMO DYOR
