Actually it would require a massive amount of money ... convert hot water from gas to electric plus whatever wiring to set it up(and still have to pay to heat it once the sun goes down), buy an EV?(no thanks, I just bought a new ICE car), I like to eat when it suits me, not according to the sun .....
If they start charging people to feed back into the grid, I imagine a lot of solar panels will end up at the tip
