Youve posted about the fathers of this church and how they developed their understanding etc
This is totally outside what the bible teaches, also what history teaches
What you don't understand is that even the apostles developed their teaching or Peter and Paul would not have fought and disagreed among themselves, most of the NT are letters, they were written as circumstances aroused with the mentality they were given from Christ teaching and the working of the Holy Spirit as promised by Christ
The first Fathers taught by the apostles themselves mention that Jesus was God, do you honestly think from the first go the apostles failed, then we are in deep manure, think of the implication would be if they failed. You definitely have not discovered the truth, you just been formed by the reformation to think you have like many opposing views
The church didn't know the indept of that meaning, but as it was questioned it realised it's implication and understood
But first of all do you honestly think that only you or your version of interpreting scripture is correct, I'll give you heads up, people see in verses accordingly of what's between their ears according to their disposition
Also to your post, History is not outside CC teaching, matter of fact it agrees with CC teaching, and of how the bible was understood this is why most of the
You are conditioned to see scripture the same way, your disposition and your culture
The CC was there from day one to form it's disposition and it's reflected in it's Tradition same as your own tradition of rendering scripture, p.s the fathers are CC saints,
Now having said that, the bible was the end of revelation period, nothing more to be add to it, but nevertheless some things become clear with time especially when there are disagreements bickering and fighting, the Trinity is not an addition to it, but a clarification of understanding of who Jesus is, which came later
If there was no bickering through the ages we would still believe that Jesus is God without having to have the doctrine of the Trinity
To cap it off, the CC understand much more of the meaning of what's written in the bible, as it was there and canonized the bible according to its Tradition and understanding
The difference is you haven't got that higher understanding of scripture but assume your take is bingo, the right understanding
I'll run it by you again, the CC has a different understanding then the one born at or from the reformation
I have a bible commentary for students who want to be scholars, pick any page if you had to go through it it's so indept that it'll take you weeks to fully understand it, yet we gave guys who just parrot verses as if they fully understand it, that's the difference that you need to understand
