The Tarraji-Yampi project is starting to show real promise in the VMS space. Orion and Orion Repeat have returned strong grades, like 3m @ 4.5% Cu and 46.0g/t Ag, which are competitive with many established VMS deposits. The large off-hole conductors at Orion Offset and OR1, with values as high as 50,000S, are clear indicators of possible massive sulphide bodies that are ripe for further exploration.Tarraji-Yampi's geochemistry and multi-metal mix of copper, gold, silver, and zinc all hint at a classic polymetallic VMS system. The project team is using proven exploration methods like DHEM and IP surveys to home in on high-conductance zones, which are key in identifying VMS deposits. Techniques like these have been instrumental in other successful VMS finds, lending credibility to the strategy here.With the current results in hand, the next steps are clear. The focus is on infill and step-out drilling around Orion to better define the mineralised zones. Peripheral targets, such as OR3 and Ironclad, also show strong geophysical signatures and are lined up for future exploration. While it’s still early days for Tarraji-Yampi, the signs are pointing in the right direction. If follow-up drilling continues to yield positive results, this could evolve into a substantial Cu-Au VMS discovery. It’s definitely a project to watch as the DRE team works to unlock its full potential.
