That ended when H crossed them and invaded in June of 1941. By then Britain, with it's colonial allies, had withstood the blitzkrieg for two years culminating in the Battle Of Britain, where the Luftwaffe threw all they had at Britain and failed. Tactically a hard fought draw, strategically the first big defeat for Germany.
Russia would have collapsed in front of the Germans without US provided weapons, carried on the terrible Murmansk convoys where many merchant seamen died a cold, miserable death.
