I agree with you on the CF+ and also have reasons I'm not happy about the SPXO results, however, this is not why I'm happy or not happy about the recent issue of options.
As far as remuneration for a CEO. I think we get value here. I'm paying a chippy $110/hour at the moment. That's close enough to $1000 a day for 8 hours. How many hours do you think Adrian Floate works daily, weekly, monthly? I don't know myself but I'd expect he would be doing 12 hour days with some give or take here and there.
The options, where this discussion started, are fair remuneration given the strike price means they are "future performance" based. That is if the CEO doesn't deliver he gets zero.
Seems fair to me.
