"They can buy and sell to themselves to manipulate the market. Reckon this should be indicated in the trades as it is unfair not to be unaware of this."
Two points about this;
1. Brokers are not able to trade willy-nilly on their own accounts. Each order has to be signed off by another party. They are under the microscope since the Opes Prime and other debacles.
2. I don't worry too much about manipulation. If the price action and other factors line up, ie. I like the story, as I do this one, then the actual price is not the critical factor. Nobody forces us to pay any particular price, so it is always up to us to accept or otherwise what's on offer. I'm not condoing or excusing manipulation, but blatant manipulation is easy to spot. If I like the price, I don't care how it got there.
