Nordstream blow up misdirection was a classic example of narrative control
The meme released by the spook agencies was:
"The finger points Russia"
Somehow it gets circulated to all and sundry and dutifully they rehearse it and used it everywhere for weeks.
It was on the lips of every talking head and newspaper analyst. "Blah blah blah, but the finger points at Russia"
If the line being used in the media on any geopolitical event is neat, brief, seems to be everywhere and acts to blame-shift some awkward event, you know who wrote it.
