Exactly - MS has NOTHING to do with selling or buying LYC shares. They just hold the shares as either long only or short borrow as a custodian service.
Knowing the MS global profit is up or down is nice if I am buying MS shares but that is all....
Knowing that LYC has fallen out of the ASX Small Cap Index and is now a small bart of the ASX Big Cap index tells me a lot more about the flow of shares over the short term....
And if I need to spell it out - there has been selling as the small cap index players get out of their position. They don't care whether it doubles again or halves from here as it does not impact their relative returns anymore.
