Yes, it would be great, but we all know now that the wheels on the ASM machine crank very slowly after Woodall was sidelined a few years back. A sale would be great news as there would most likely be an offtake attached to it.
Let's see what this grant is all about.
If ASM were savvy they would have made two grant applications to Future Made in Australia, one to progress Dubbo and one for an Australian metals plant. $5m for each. The $5m for a metals plant would go a long way to develop an EIS and get those government approval. They could then sit on an FID to relocate the Korean plant or build a new one here. Any news on progress of an Australian Metals Plant would make enormous sense and could very well be a huge catalyst. The biggest catalyst being offtakes on Zirconium, Niobium and Hafnium.
