There might be people who have a position but have no extra cash for the SPP. They might temporarily borrow money from somewhere else for the SPP and then sell the SPP shares to take a little cream and return the SPP money to whereever it came from.
Yesterday I saw people panic a bit when the share price dropped from 18.5 to 16.5. There was a flurry of posts on HC, like what's going on?? Maybe it's bad news and we don't know it yet, and stuff like that. If there is another selloff panic, those short term traders and people that borrowed money from somewhere else will want to get out quick so they can get 75% profit and not 25% profit, the difference which could be thousands of dollars.
MYG has already been very good to me. I've already taken about 120% profit a few days ago when it hit 20c. For now I think there'll be some short term volatility and I'm looking to get back in, averaging down a few times if the opportunity arises.
