Yowler. Why are BKP planning to fracture test their well?

If it is not cost effective why is another company planning to fracture test a well in the Georgina Basin with BKP?

Clearly it is to understand the productivity of the shales to allow further analysis and investment decisions. If you get oil or gas flow you know your on a winner. Other company's then want a piece.

In CTPs case 3 wells with hydrocarbons, 1 flowed at a sub-commercial rate.

If CTP had mobilized a frac team and performed a vertical frac they would have known productivity of the deposit. If flow was achieved they could have developed the field in 12-18 months using high angle deviated wells and horizontal wells combined with fraccing.
