Certainly a point of view; not sure I agree with it completely.
To me buying shares has always been done on a caveat emptor basis but admittedly if there hasn't been all the disclosure that there should have been then you are buying blind.
I rather think this class action is more about how much money can the legals make out of it than anything else, other than that it all smacks of one privatizing their profits and socializing their losses.

The only way I would be happy would be if that the previous management got their due comeuppance out of it all.
