The short for KCN is minimal actually for a gold mining company. Note that for GMD, its much higher short does not preclude its share price from soaring well past KCN over the past 3 years. Note how GMD's share price has been rising as the percentage of shorted shares was increasing during the second half of 2023. For the Chairman of KCN to blame shorters is completely misplaced.
