the announcement was misleading and then for them to take so much time to come out and say "we need to replace the monkey board" is crap
they also need to perform a category 4 mast inspection which involves NDT (non destructive testing) of all structural members and 20% of bracing members in the mast
moreover this will be done by a third party inspector such as moduspec or flawtech and the min they walk into that shizen storm they are going to be covering their butts and inspecting the hell out of everything else as well
